Connect Slack to receive alarm alerts in a channel. When an alarm triggers or recovers, Bluejay sends a message to the Slack channel you choose. Connect Slack in Organization Settings, then select the channel when creating or editing an alarm.

Quick Prerequisites

  • A Bluejay account
  • A Slack workspace where you can install the Bluejay app (admin or permission to add apps)

Setting Up the Integration

1. Go to Integrations

  1. Log into your Bluejay Dashboard
  2. Click your Organization in the bottom left corner
  3. Select Integrations
  4. Open the Slack tab
  5. Click Connect to start the Slack authorization

2. Approve Bluejay in Slack

  1. After clicking Connect, you are redirected to Slack
  2. Review the requested permissions (channels and sending messages)
  3. Click Allow (or “Approve for Bluejay”) to authorize Bluejay for your workspace

3. Attach Slack to an alarm

  1. Go to Monitor → Alarms
  2. Create a new alarm or edit an existing one
  3. In the notification section, turn on Slack Notifications
  4. Choose a Slack channel from the dropdown (only populated when Slack is connected)
  5. Save the alarm. When the alarm triggers or recovers, a message is sent to that channel

Disconnect Slack

To disconnect Slack from your organization, go to Settings → Integrations, open the Slack tab, and click Disconnect.
